Sowohl für die Versionen auf den Heimkonsolen als auch für die DS-Fassung gilt: Band Hero wird DAS Partygame für alle Generationen von Spielern: Es basiert auf der gefeierten Guitar Hero-Serie und bietet die Möglichkeit, selbst die Zusammensetzung der Band zu bestimmen: zwei Gitarren und zwei Drumkits? Drei Bassisten und ein Mikrofon? Kein Problem! So erleben die Spieler ihre bevorzugten Chart-Hits auf ganz individuelle Weise und haben dabei jede Menge Spaß mit ihren Freunden!

Band Hero erscheint Ende November 2009 für Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, PlayStation 2 und Nintendo DS Lite. Der Titel wurde von der USK ohne Altersbeschränkung freigegeben.
