Activision präsentiert die komplette, heiß ersehnte DJ Hero Playlist: 93 einzigartige Mixes der größten Stars aus Hip-Hop, R&B, Rock, Pop und Dance werden die virtuellen Plattenteller zum Glühen bringen. Am 27. Oktober können alte DJ-Hasen und zukünftige DJ-Jungsters mit Tracks von DJ AM, Cut Chemist, Grandmaster Flash, DJ Jazzy Jeff, J. Period, DJ Shadow und DJ Z-Trip die Party richtig rocken. Mit dem speziell für das Spiel entwickelten Turntable-Controller wird jeder Wohnzimmer-DJ die heimische Tanzfläche zum Beben bringen. Der innovative Controller vermittelt mit rotierendem Turntable, Sample-Tasten, Effekt-Regler und Crossfader echtes DJ-Feeling. Er lässt die Spieler tief in die Welt der DJs eintauchen und fordert sie heraus, verschiedene DJ-Techniken wie Scratching, Blending, Crossfading und Sampling zu meistern. Dabei bleibt stets genügend Freiraum für kreative Experimente, so dass aufstrebende DJ-Helden mit individuellen Freestyle-Effekten und selbst ausgewählten Samples und Scratches ihren eigenen Stil entwickeln können.

Die DJ Hero "Renegade Edition" featuring JAY-Z und Eminem umfasst neben dem Spiel einen hochwertigen "Renegade" Turntable-Controller und einen Turntable-Hartschalenkoffer, den man in ein DJ-Pult umwandeln kann. Dazu kommen zwei exklusive JAY-Z und Eminem CDs mit einer "Best Of"-Auswahl und neuen, bisher unveröffentlichten Tracks, die es so nicht im regulären Musikhandel geben wird.

DJ Hero wird am 27. Oktober für Xbox 360 , PlayStation 3, Wii sowie PlayStation 2 erscheinen und wurde von der USK ohne Altersbeschränkung freigegeben.
