Es gibt eine neue Macht in Gotham: Der Red Hood sorgt im Stil eines Vigilanten für Ordnung in der Unterwelt. Seine Methoden sind dabei jedoch alles andere als gesetzeskonform.
Batman schließt sich mit Nightwing, seinem ehemaligen Partner Robin, zusammen, um mehr über den Red Hood herauszufinden. Doch der ist seinen Verfolgern immer einen Schritt voraus und scheint bestens über ihre Aktionen informiert zu sein.
In irgendeiner Weise scheint der Red Hood mit dem Joker, Ra's al Ghul und Black Mask in Verbindung zu stehen, drei von Batmans gefürchtetsten Feinden, die es gerade jetzt auch wieder auf ihn abgesehen haben.
